YOGA, REIKI AND MEDITATION
 


Q. Is Yoga exercise or gymnastics?
A. No Yoga is not an exercise nor is it gymnastics. It is a technique to unite the mind and body together for achieving health goals and to connect mind towards bliss. 

Q. When should Yoga be done?
A. Yoga should be performed at the early hours of the day or in the evening.

Q. Can we eat food immediately before or after performing Yoga?
A. No. Keep stomach empty for at least 3-4 hour before performing Yoga and for at least 30 minutes after the Yoga practice.

Q. Can we drink water or juice during the Yoga practice?
A. No. please avoid drinking any fluids during the Yoga Practice.

Q. Is Yoga a religion?
A. No. It is a way of life, beyond religion. Everyone has a right to good health and happiness. Yoga helps us to be healthy and happy.


REIKI

Q. What is Reiki?
A. Reiki is a Japanese word for the Universal Life Force Energy. REI – means Universal, Ki - means the life force energy.

Q. How is it learnt and by whom it can be learnt?
A. It can be learnt by any one who has a desire to learn Reiki. A person who has previously been trained in Reiki and who is a Reiki Master can teach Reiki and also pass attunements.

Q. What are attunements in Reiki and are they necessary?
A. Attunements are initiation whereby the desiree gets connected to the energy source. The Reiki Master is qualified enough to do this. Without attunements Reiki energy does not work.

Q. Does a person use his/her own energy while treating self or others through Reiki?
A. No. The energy comes from the source – the Universe. The person is just an instrument.

Q. To practice Reiki we need to be Japanese?
A. No. Reiki is universal Life Force Energy beyond caste, creed, dogma’s or religion. It can be practiced by anyone, any time, any where. The only requisite is the desire to learn and be connected with Reiki.


MEDITATION

Q. What is Meditation is it somewhat like concentration?
A. No. Meditation is a deep perception of self. It is experiencing silence and evolution. It is being a witness to one’s own inner world.

Q. Have we to control thoughts while meditating?
A. It will take us more than a lifetime to control our thoughts. While meditating initially we have to learn to transform negative thoughts to positive thoughts and then learn to transform these thoughts to bright colors. We have not to control anything we just have to transform them.

Q. When and where can we meditate?
A. To meditate we must be disciplined. To start chose a quiet sacred place in your house. Light incense or have a nice fragrance which relaxes you, light a candle or a lamp of ghee, sit on a mat cross legged or take any comfortable position, close your eyes, play a soothing music. Always meditate in the place chosen for meditation, do not change places every time you wish to meditate. Also allot a time and stick to it.

Q. For how long should we meditate?
A. Initially meditate for 5-10 minutes or till you feel you can sit comfortably then slowly increase your time. 30 minutes of regular meditation will really help you.

Q. What diet should we take to do meditation?
A. A pure light vegetarian diet is required if you desire to meditate.


VIRTUAL YOGA

Q. How is Virtual Yoga different from other Yoga’s?
A. In Virtual Yoga we not only perform the posture but we learn to become the posture. We use the power of our mind to derive maximum benefit of the pose.

Q. Is Virtual Yoga more effective than other Yoga’s?
A. YES. We learn to unite our mind and body for good health and peace.

Q. What are the prerequisites for learning or practicing Virtual Yoga?
A. Virtual Yoga like any other Yoga can be learnt by the desiree. Eat a pure light vegetarian diet and keep stomach empty for at least 3-4 hours before practicing yoga.

Q. Can Virtual Yoga be practiced along with other types of yoga?
A. Yes.

Q. Is Virtual Yoga taught by other Yoga institutes?
